Why?
One of the main problems about being me is that during the average day I have way too much time to think. Sometimes I think about important issues, but usually my thoughts are consumed with trivia and the obscure. Occasionally I think of something that is more complex than I can hold in my mind all at once, and it becomes necessary to put the thought in a more permanent form. Usually I write notes or draw diagrams which are eventually lost along with the thoughts that generated them. This blog is designed to be an outlet for me to put some of my more obscure ideas into a form where I can examine them in an analytical way. So, why post them for the public to read? I sometimes wonder whether anyone else has thought the things I think. With all of the thinkers that have existed, and I use the term thinkers as inclusive of most people, it seems pretty unlikely that any one my thoughts is completely unique. So, I'm also curious as to whether the things I think are interesting to anybody else. Disclaimer: I do not claim that anything I write here is necessarily true. In fact, my hope is that in writing out these ideas I will be able to better understand them so as to revise and eliminate them as I see fit. So, for every entry in this blog you may assume that, unless otherwise stated, it is true that I thought it, but I don't necessarily think the thought to be true.
